FLEXIBILITY ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE FOR WATER NETWORK DESIGN

Mohamed Mousa, Mustafa Awad, Said Abdallah

The research aims to study flexibility in the systems with its different definitions in order to define flexibility in UWDS , covering the key properties of the ability of the system to check the response of uncertainties in interpreting the characteristics of UWDS , which is made by measuring the flexibility by different possible techniques and compare them on computational demand and applicability in flexibility identification and flexibility optimization. Modeling different methods for model undue uncertain nodal demand, pipe roughness and component failure to propose an efficient method for generating flexible design for UWDS.The components of any UWDS affects its flexibility, it had been studied the effect of main components of UWDS and how it can affect the flexibility of the system. A case study for proposing an efficient model for UWDS was discussed.
