Discussion on Viral Diseases of Finfish in Marine Aquaculture

Aquaculture is the world's fastest-growing food sector, accounting for one-third of total worldwide food output. Increased infectious diseases have had a negative impact on the growth of marine fish farming around the world, as they have in all intensive farming systems. In the marine aquaculture industry, viral infections generate significant economic losses. We present an overview of the key obstacles to controlling and preventing viral infections in marine fish farming, as well as potential remedies.
